About this talk

Interested in an improved security experience and increased patron satisfaction and usage? Just like many libraries around the world, University of Johannesburg library struggled with providing their patrons with remote access to their subscribed resources throughout the prevailing months of the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020. This is until they decided to move to federated access by implementing OpenAthens to improve patrons’ access experience. Join us on July 13, 2021 as Janina Van der Westhuizen, Head of Technical Services and her colleagues at University of Johannesburg share their patron access change management best practices and what the results have been so far. The session will be moderated by Kelechi Okere, Global Director, Seamless Access at Elsevier and we will also be joined by James Edwards, International Sales Manager at OpenAthens. There will be time for Q & A with the speakers so please come with any questions you may have.
