A climate emergency has been declared and a number of governments are legislating net zero targets as we begin the year-long build up to the 2020 United Nations Climate Conference in Glasgow in the UK. It is at this point that governments must increase their commitments in line with the Goals of the Paris Agreement. The actions that Asset Owners take, through engagement, fund alignment and interaction with public policy in 2020 will be instrumental in determining if the world is on a path to limiting global temperatures to 1.5 degrees of warming.
To discuss this you are invited to join fellow leading asset owners and key fund managers in assessing if the progress that is being made is sufficient. This years’ TPI State of the Transition Summit will review the State of Transition in key carbon intensive sectors and also share examples of how investors are using TPI data for that aim.
