The consequences of unmanaged risk can be extremely negative, but risk is a constant. We live in a volatile, uncertain, complex and ambiguous world where risk is ever present and cannot be eradicated, but it can be managed by ensuring positive behaviors outnumber the negative.
Risk is often managed by locking things down. Access. Information. The need to know.
