About this talk

The HFMA have collaborated with and the Faculty of Medical Leadership and Management (FMLM) to bring our members a series of live streamed panel sessions. These sessions will focus on issues affecting the future of healthcare, highlighting areas where clinicians and finance staff can work together to improve patient outcomes. Areas of discussion will include value based healthcare, new technologies and innovation. First panel The first panel will be chaired by Caroline Clarke, Deputy CEO at The Royal Free London NHS FT. She will be joined by four doctors from different specialties from across healthcare. Panellists include: •FMLM Senior Fellow Dr Tony Berendt, Former Medical Director of Oxford University Hospitals •FMLM Senior Fellow Dr Jon Fistein, Chief Medical Officer at Private Healthcare Information Network and Leadership and Management Lead at the Cambridge University Clinical School and Associate Professor at the University of Leeds •Dr Clare Turnbull MD PhD MA MSc FRCP MFPH Professor of Medical Genomics | Clinical Lead for Cancer Genomics for 100,000 Genomes Project | Consultant in Clinical Genetics (Honorary) | Consultant in Public Health Medicine (Honorary) Second panel The second panel will be chaired by FMLM Senior Fellow Dr Jon Fistein who will be joined by four financial leaders from within the NHS. Panellists include: •Hardev Virdee, Director of Finance, Central & North West London NHS FT •Jazz Thind, Director of Finance, Oxleas NHS FT •Mark Orchard, Director of Finance, Poole Hospital NHS FT
