About this talk

Network functions virtualisation (NFV) is a technology that allows telcos to reduce operational costs and improve flexibility by migrating from legacy hardware-based appliances to software-based network functions. With an increasing demand for cloud-native services, container network functions (CNFs) are gaining momentum nowadays. Starting from release SEVEN, those are natively supported by Open Source MANO (OSM) management and orchestration stack. Join this webinar to learn about the current trends in NFV implementation. We will discuss the challenges related to CNFs orchestration and demonstrate how those can be addressed by using OSM. The webinar will follow with a live demo during which we will demonstrate how to deploy and operate network services for mobile core network management. We will use Magma (a software-centric distributed mobile packet core) and OSM as MANO platform for this purpose.
