EU/EEA/Americas for Professional Investors, in Switzerland for Qualified Investors
Emerging market investors face a number of headwinds. Inflation is high and climbing. Central banks, both in emerging markets and globally, are tightening policy. The Chinese economy has slowed, as the country’s zero-Covid-19 policy takes its toll and regulations hit home. The geopolitical landscape remains a morass. So, the question is: do emerging markets make a compelling long term investment?
In our view, 2022 will undoubtedly be a challenging environment for investors. However, valuations in both equity and bond markets have already priced in these headwinds to a large extent. As such, we believe this creates an attractive environment for diligent investors with proven research and selection skills.
Listen to our experts while they discuss what they’ve learnt through their 35 years on-the-ground-experience of investing in emerging markets. Learn about how markets and companies have been transforming, and the evolution of investing strategies over time. We will also take a closer look at the growing importance of ESG factors in the emerging market investing, particularly with respect to seeking alignment to the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals (SDG).
