In the next installment of our Funding Actualized webinar series, we will unpack the Digital Equity grant program, authorized as part of the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act. Administered by the NTIA, the $2.75 billion grant program includes three grant programs that promote digital equity and inclusion. It aims to ensure that all people and communities have the skills, technology, and capacity needed to reap the full benefits of our digital economy. $1.5 billion is dedicated to the State Digital Equity Capacity Grant Program, $60 million of which was awarded in 2022 and is dedicated to state planning grants. In addition, the $1.25 billion Digital Equity Competitive Grant Program is dedicated to accelerating the adoption of broadband through digital literacy training, workforce development, devices access programs, and other digital inclusion measures.
