With a plan to reduce its carbon footprint by 85% over five years, UK-based Hepworth & Co. Brewers asked Futraheat to replace a longstanding oil-fired boiler that, while critical to the beermaking process, produced the majority of its site emissions. Futraheat’s solution? A state-of-the-art, heat pump-based system propelled by ultra-low GWP Honeywell Solstice zd (R-1233zd) refrigerant.
The Solstice zd-powered heat pump system will enable Hepworth & Co. to meet scope 1 and 2 emissions targets safely and efficiently while significantly reducing energy and operating costs.
