Wi-Fi 6 pushes the boundaries of Gigabit Ethernet, and now Wi-Fi 6E is on the horizon as countries around the world open the 6GHz band for unlicensed use. At the same time, regulators are also making licensed spectrum available for Enterprises to create dedicated, private 5G networks. Wi-Fi 6/6E and private 5G create new requirements for access switching to deliver increased throughput and power.
In this session we look at these new standards and how they drive demand for 802.3bz multigigabit Ethernet and 802.3bt Power over Ethernet. We will also provide the cabling recommendations to support both the data rates and Power over Ethernet levels required by both Wi-Fi 6 and 5G.
