About this talk

gRPC is a popular framework for building distributed applications. The Hazelcast Platform has built-in support for invoking gRPC services from within stream processing pipelines. In this session, we’ll see how the interaction of gRPC and Hazelcast can be further extended to allow gRPC services to be implemented as Hazelcast Jet Pipelines, by implementing a general-purpose, reusable gRPC Source and Sink for Jet. Key takeaways: - Achieving higher concurrency and improved latency with gRPC services compared to other back-end implementations - Supporting AI and ML workloads with gRPC - Implementing REST or HTTP services in Jet
