Apprenticeship, A-Levels, or a Degree?

It’s hard, to plan your future. You may have spent two years focusing on studying for exams and now you have to plan what happens next. Are you torn between doing ‘A’ Levels as a route to university and doing a degree, getting a job or maybe starting an apprenticeship? While historically, university degrees were considered the pinnacle of academic achievement and a guarantee of a great job and apprenticeships were seen as a route for mainly more manual trades, times have changed and so have opinions around work-based learning. So many schools and college leavers along with college and university graduates are now realising the value that employers attach to the work experience and the transferable skills gained from an apprenticeship and with the advent of the Apprenticeship Levy, and the relaxation of eligibility rules, more graduates than ever use an apprenticeship after their degree to gain that all-important role-specific training.
