SBTVD (Fórum do Sistema Brasileiro de TV Digital Terrestre), the Brazilian standards organization dedicated to guaranteed access to high quality image and sound, is evolving terrestrial transmission with the launch of TV 2.5 and TV 3.0.

Globo, the largest broadcaster in Brazil, has been leading the implementation through a series of highly visible trials.
