What is Zero Trust Data Management?
An estimated 2 out of 3 ransomware attacks now target backups. That’s why it’s vital to ensure your backups are 100% protected and resilient. With zero trust data management no one is trustworthy. No user. No application. No device. To meet this new standard, data must be natively immutable so that it can never be modified, encrypted, or deleted by ransomware. Data needs to be ready at all times so you can recover what you need, and never pay a ransom.

Cyber criminals only have to get lucky once to infiltrate and interfere with an organisation’s most valuable asset: data. Yet, businesses have to be one step ahead and ensure the best possible defence against attack every single second, minute and hour of each and every day.

One such regulation, brought about by the European Commission is the NIS2 Directive. It came into being on 16 January 2023 to boost the overall level of cyber security in the EU2. The UK government has already confirmed that it is moving forward with plans to update its NIS regulations as well. 

By expanding the scope of the cyber security rules to new sectors and entities, it further improves the resilience and incident response capacities of public and private organisations alike. The deadline for Member States to transpose the NIS2 Directive into applicable national law is 17 October 2024.
