Building Trust in an Untrusted World: The Zero Trust Paradigm

Zero Trust is a model for cybersecurity that treats trust as a vulnerability – replacing ‘trusted/untrusted’ architectures with complex external attack surfaces; expensive defense-in-depth strategies; and exploitable identity-based access schemes with smaller, simpler, easier to build and manage ‘protect surfaces’ around entities. Zero Trust is the US Government’s prescribed cybersecurity model, and Zero Trust is fast becoming a dominant model for telecommunications and enterprises as well.
