Sustainable Finance Disclosures Regulation: Raising the bar for increased transparency on sustainability risks and impacts
As part of the EU Sustainable Finance Action Plan, the Sustainable Finance Disclosure Regulation (SDFR) supplements the current rulebooks governing manufacturers of financial products. Managers must disclose how sustainability risks are considered in their investment process; what metrics they use to assess ESG factors; how they consider investment decisions that might result in negative effects on sustainability factors, so-called “Principal Adverse Impacts” in the regulators’ jargon.
