About this talk

The Digital Twin Consortium Technology Showcase features a new sustainability use case: a remote operations center (ROC) for wind farms based on digital twins. The ROC increases wind energy production, reduces downtime, and enhances turbine maintenance efficiency and safety.  A digital twin provides a virtual representation of the physical wind farm, synchronized at a high frequency and fidelity. Using IoT devices, sensors, and communication protocols, the ROC collects data from wind turbines and equipment.   This allows operators to monitor and predict changes without disrupting operations. By providing a platform for remote decision-making, the twins enable performance optimization and operational efficiency. Join XMPRO’s Gavin Green, as he takes a look inside the remote operations center, breaks down how it works, and illustrates its value.
