About this talk

ROS was created by and for the use of robotics researchers and educators. It has an open, hackable architecture that encourages experimentation, but this can be at odds with the needs of military applications. Fortunately, ROS 2 was built on top of the Data Distribution Service (DDS) framework, a battle-tested open standard used in countless military applications. This webinar will discuss proven ways to toughen and optimize ROS 2 systems for military-grade usage by leveraging the DDS that's already present in ROS 2, awakening the warrior inside the academic.
