Customer expectations have never been higher and this extends to how they feel about online government services. At the same time, there's an opportunity for data and AI to enhance service delivery - and citizens are open to it. By prioritising the simplification of online services, improving user navigation, providing excellent technical support, and making help more accessible, Government can substantially improve overall service quality. The basic user experience challenges are becoming easier to solve with emerging technological solutions, presenting an opportunity for governments to begin taking small steps that can dramatically improve service delivery. Citizens from across New Zealand came together to attend Innovate Aotearoa to address New Zealand's evolving challenges and why innovative and technological approaches are crucial in helping NZ's Public Sector develop adaptive and sustainable policies (Public Sector Network, 2024).
