About this talk

Investors are increasingly focused on the plans that organisations are putting in place to pivot their business models, operations, and assets to align with a low carbon future. In this context, climate-related transition plans are emerging as a key component of an organisation’s overall climate strategy. Transition plans describe the targets and actions that will be pursued to reduce climate-related risks and to benefit from opportunities in an organisation’s transition to a low carbon economy. What constitutes a credible and effective climate transition plan? What does the TCFD recommend that companies and investors disclose from transition plans? How is the evolving thinking around transition plans being put into practice by leading investors? In this session, PRI and partners will provide an overview of the latest TCFD guidance around climate-related transition plans, and examine how investors and companies are developing and disclosing transition plans in the pursuit of net zero in practice.
