The Principles for Responsible Investment (PRI) invite you to a webinar to learn about and discuss the latest developments of regional sustainable finance policy frameworks in APAC region, with a focus on Hong Kong SAR, Malaysia and Japan. This webinar is intended for investors, regulators, policymakers and industry stakeholders interested to learn about strategies to build comprehensive sustainable finance policy frameworks supporting greener and more sustainable economies. Attendees will hear about Sustainable Finance strategies in Hong Kong and Malaysia from the Securities & Futures Commission (SFC) and Securities Commission Malaysia respectively; revisions to the Japan Stewardship Code from representatives of the Financial Services Agency; and HKEX will to share on their ESG Guide Consultation Conclusions and ESG/Listing Rules amendments. The PRI’s Director of Policy & Research will also provide updates on the PRI’s Global Policy Programme and global policy developments including the EU Sustainable Finance Action Plan and UK policy updates. As markets around the world are facing unprecedented economic challenges due to the coronavirus crisis, many governments are focusing their financial support to the economy on green development and infrastructure. In this context, gearing economic recovery towards green and sustainable growth is more than ever needed by investors and policymakers alike.
