Advancing the Cloud: How Distributed Computing Meets Modern User Demands

In a recent study, we found that two-thirds of IT decision-makers plan to increase their distributed cloud computing adoption in the next 12 months, with more than one-third saying the benefits are mission critical to their IT strategy.

Security and reliability are cited by 33% of respondents as key drivers for this increased adoption. Of those who see increased security as a benefit of switching to distributed cloud:

71% say it provides better visibility into security issues locally.
66% say it provides granular control over data and access.
58% say it provides redundancy and failover across locations.

Distributed Cloud- From Running Anywhere to Running Everywhere

Kubernetes (K8s) remains one of the most widely adopted technologies for deploying and managing applications in cloud-native data centers, offering a kind of speed and flexibility that was never before possible.

However, K8s has one major drawback – security. As the K8s cluster network is inherently flat, it allows communication between clusters and pods by default.
