As we moved through the year and into 2024, it became apparent that markets may be returning to favour the hunting ground of the stock picker. With rates likely to remain higher for longer we are unlikely to see a situation where rising tides lift all boats, instead investors will have to choose companies with the ability to deliver strong returns based on the quality of the company.
