Immunohistochemistry assessment of PD-L1 protein expression levels in the tumor microenvironment is critical for identifying patients eligible for immunotherapy. Currently, different scoring approaches are used to assess tumor cell and immune cell staining with each approach having unique challenges. This talk presents the Tumor Area Positivity (TAP) score, a simple, visual-based estimate scoring algorithm that combines tumor cells and immune cells to identify PD-L1 levels. Samples were stained using the VENTANA PD-L1 (SP263) Assay.

Mismatch Repair Immunohistochemistry in Clinical Oncology

In this webinar, Dr Paolo Ocampo, Pathologist in Data Science Imaging at Genentech/Roche Personalised Healthcare, will explore the immense potential of deep-learning models to improve accuracy, efficiency and reproducibility in the clinical practice of anatomic pathology.
