Event Overview

Every IT manager knows that the amount of information they have to store is growing faster than ever. But where is all that data on PC hard drives, servers, standalone storage devices, or all these and more? One of the biggest operational challenges for IT is to control that growth in an efficient and cost-effective manner.

Virtualisation is attracting interest from IT managers as a potential solution to this information overload. The technology allows you to manage all your storage centrally, but to give users the appearance that they have their data locally. In an increasingly multi-vendor technology environment, virtualisation can help make sure your storage assets are fully utilised and well managed, with a reduced risk of compliance failure. And there are even benefits for your green computing strategy too.

This Computing web seminar, in association with Hitachi Data Systems, will examine the benefits of storage virtualisation and the emerging best practice in managing the technology. Real-life case studies will demonstrate how organisations are making virtualisation work for them, and you will have the opportunity to put your questions to our expert panel.
